1. Cotton fiber

Cotton fiber has low strength, poor heat resistance and fatigue resistance, low elasticity, and high heat generation.

2. Rayon

The strength of rayon fatigue resistance, heat resistance are higher than cotton fiber, the initial modulus of elasticity is high size stability is good, but the loss of strength after moisture absorption is large.

3、Polyamide fiber

Polyamide fiber is also known as nylon, which is divided into nylon-6, nylon-66 and several other species. Nylon fiber strength, fatigue resistance, impact resistance is also superior, but the modulus of elasticity is low, thermal shrinkage, poor dimensional stability and rubber adhesion is not good.

4. Polyester fiber

Polyester fiber is commonly known as polyester. It has high strength, heat resistance, fatigue resistance and dimensional stability are very good. Due to high fatigue heat and easy to cause amination, hydrolysis, etc. and reduce the strength of the cord. Adhesion with rubber is also poor.

5. Polyvinyl alcohol fiber

Polyvinyl alcohol fiber is also known as vinylon or vinylon. Its strength elastic modulus are higher than cotton fibers, but not as good as nylon. Adhesion with rubber is worse than cotton fibers, but better than nylon and polyester fibers, chemical resistance is also very good, but poor resistance to heat and humidity.

6. Glass fiber

Glass fiber has high strength, excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance, electrical insulation and thermal insulation properties are also very good, but fatigue resistance and poor adhesion with rubber.

7. Steel wire

Steel wire is one of the important skeleton materials of rubber products, and its position in the rubber fiber is increasing day by day. It is not only an essential material for the manufacture of tire wire rings, and with the development of radial tires, but also a large number of wire cord fabric. In addition, it has a wide range of applications in other rubber products such as steel wire braiding and winding hoses. The advantage of steel wire is that it has excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity. The initial modulus of elasticity is high. However, the specific gravity, fatigue resistance, adhesion to rubber and chemical resistance is very poor.
